Wadge secures big-money Parkdean Masters win!

Kevin Wadge put the disappointment of losing three fish in the opening half-hour to win the 2017 Parkdean Masters….and land a cheque for £25,000.

The Colmic-backed angler ended the contest with 81lb 15oz, just enough to finish ahead of Andy Power’s second-placed 79lb 9oz and Phil Canning, who finished third with 75lb.

Pegged 16 on Jenny’s Lake, Kevin began by feeding heavily with corn before presenting conker-sized balls of luncheon meat-based paste at 13m. He started badly, dropping a trio of decent carp, but soon banked a number of quality fish to put himself in pole position.

The lake switched off after a couple of hours, leaving the 24-man field to scratch around for bites. However, Kevin had already done enough for the trophy and the big money pay-out.
